This book was exciting. I was drawn into the characters and the action from the start and couldn’t put it down. The scenario where a well-meaning President decides to actually accomplish what had only been talked about in past regimes and he succeeds in bringing down the nuclear programs of both North Korea and Iran is fascinating. The fact he choses to use a third party to get the job done is ingenious and the consequences that fall on his head based on his victories are horrid.

His work to shut the US/Mexico border to the drug trade and to human trafficking is exhilarating but the consequences that rain down on the country are scary. The story is riveting and once you’ve read the first few pages, you’ll be hooked. Mark Groves and his amazing family are exceptional characters and his interactions with his close friends, President James Rossi and billionaire, Robert “Chance” King are the stuff good books are made of.

The extreme tragedy experienced by Mark Groves that leads to his resurgence and a love interest with the beautiful Katherine “Kat” Jayne is just plain fun. The plot for payback after the President’s early involvement will leave you thinking this is potentially worse than anything that came out of 9/11 and the actions to counter these acts of terrorism will make your head spin. There is even an unwitting hero in the form of a former Congressional Medal of Honor winning pilot from the Viet Nam war who saves the day in the end. It is all intricately woven together with a happy ending. If you like Tom Clancy books, you’ll love Outsources Consequences

I am a fan of all things military and watch many movies/series with them as the star. As I continued to read OC, I just kept saying to myself “this would make a terrific movie”
In OC I felt the patriotism even more as the Groves family moved far and wide through several wars. And, now the real security of the US depends greatly on them. But, as they move through danger, they do take a little time for romance.
The detail in OC, where needed, is unbelievable. From how to control and set off extremely complicated demolitions to how a semi-truck operates. It was difficult to stop reading any section until it had come to its conclusion. When one conclusion is reached, another whole new set of plans begins….. always with another of our decades-old combatants. And, of course, even in “peace” there is always an extreme and complicated danger. And THAT is what Outsourced Consequences is all about. much love…. BEV
Before I read “Outsourced Consequences” , I watched an interesting documentary on the Navy SEALS. It focused the extraordinary things they do to keep the US Citizenry safe. It was fascinating and gave me the same patriotic feelings that this book does. The constant danger that takes place on a worldwide basis, the ever vigilant group that is there to meet each challenge. This is what the Special Forces and the Intelligence Community are in place to help us with. They get involved with difficult things that aren’t always on the radar of the citizens of the United States but that is what is expected. They discretely protect us from harm that we often aren’t even aware of. I am a fan of all things military and watch many productions that feature members of the military in positive light. As I read “Outsourced Consequences” I kept saying to myself “This would make a terrific movie!” Reading this story brought out my love for the United States and the movement of the Groves family through years of conflict and war only made that more acute. So much excitement, action and a little romance to help balance the story. The detail in “Outsourced Consequences” is exceptional, believable and accurate and adds to the story. From how to set off extremely complicated demolitions to how a semi-truck operates. It was difficult to stop reading any section until it had come to its conclusion. When one conclusion is reached, another adventure begins….. always with another of the Groves family as combatants. The book is powerful and reminds us that even in times of peace, we face extreme and complicated danger. And THAT is what Outsourced Consequences is all about. Bev P.
